LILA’s first meeting of the brand new writers’ groups this Thursday (Sept 11th) from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at Upper Lance Hall, Circular Congregational Church, 150 Meeting Street, (Downtown) Charleston, SC 29401.
We’re already projecting to have a great turnout, so come out and meet your fellow writers. You don’t have to bring anything to read to the first meeting. We will begin critiquing each other’s work at the second meeting. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail coordinator Joseph Gorman at firstname.lastname@example.org. And, if you haven’t let Joe know what genres you’re interested in, please feel free to e-mail that info, too. Some of the genres we may be exploring are listed below. We look forward to seeing you!
Beginning this fall, on September 11, 2014, LILA will begin sponsoring a network of writers’ groups that will meet once a month at Circular Congregational Church from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Subsequent meetings will be held the 2nd Thursday of each month.
Writing is a solitary activity; getting feedback for works-in-progress is essential to every writer’s career. So, join us at our Writers’ Groups nights, one of the many ways in which LILA serves the Lowcountry literary community.
