PPS-logoheaderNew submissions are now being accepted for the Palmetto Poetry Series, edited by Nikky Finney and published by the University of South Carolina Press.

The Palmetto Poetry Series takes as its mission to foster and promote a diverse, inclusive chorus of voices representing the rich tradition of poetry originating from and connected to the state of South Carolina. The series publishes book-length collections by individual poets and edited anthologies of verse.

The series was founded by Kwame Dawes, the award-winning author of sixteen collections of poetry and works of fiction, nonfiction, criticism, and drama. In 2014, National Book Award-winning poet Nikky Finney was announced as the new series editor. The series continues to publish two or more new volumes each year.
