Charleston, SC – In conjunction with National Novel Writing Month, James Island’s How Art Thou? Cafe will host weekly “Write In” sessions and the “Thank Goodness It’s Over Party” throughout November.
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seatofyourpants approach to creative writing. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000word novel by 11:59 P.M. on November 30. Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought fleetingly about writing a novel.
The cafe is open six days a week for writers and offers free wifi and a comfortable lounge and porch, and will will sponsor “Write In” hours every Monday and Friday in November from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Registered NaNoWriMo writers will receive a house coffee with unlimited refills each time they visit a “Write In” at How Art Thou?
To register, visit http://nanowrimo.org.
The cafe will also host this year’s NaNoWriMo “Thank Goodness It’s Over Party” on Friday, December 6th, at 5:30 P.M. Participants will have the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments, and a raffle drawing will be held.
Cafe patrons can also donate to NaNoWriMo’s parent organization, The Office of Letters and Light, throughout the month of November. The Office of Letters and Light organizes events where children and adults find the inspiration, encouragement, and structure they need to achieve their creative potential.
